Architect’s project -Timber Frame Extension
Hampshire Interior and Architectural photography – When BBD Architects were asked to add an extension to this farmhouse they took into account the wishes of the client which was to add a large bright new open space, but to maintain the feel of the original build. This beautiful timber frame extension magically adds so more space, but also keeps the feel of the existing rustic house.
This shoot combines interior photography and architectural photography. The owner did a great job of adding furnishings that complement the interior space, so it was important to show these too. I photographed this using a combination of natural light and fill light to showcase the interior at its best. For the exterior I photographed in the daylight and I also waited until dusk, to showcase the lighting outside and inside the building.
