About Sasfi
Sasfi Hope-Ross | Award-Winning Interiors & Architectural Photographer
I am a passionate interiors and architectural photographer based in Dorset, with over 20 years of experience capturing beautiful spaces. I work across Dorset, Hampshire, London and internationally, collaborating with architects, designers, developers, and property owners to create stunning, high-quality imagery that highlight the essence of every project.
Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of working with a wide range of clients—from large corporations and renowned architects to boutique interior designers and artisan kitchen companies. I've also had the opportunity to photograph property projects internationally, with work spanning locations from Mexico to Panama.
My journey into photography started at Art College, I then went on to work with a photographic agency, where I gained invaluable practical experience. In recent years, I earned my Licentiateship in Architecture from the British Institute of Professional Photography (BIPP), a qualification that reflects my dedication to excellence in architectural photography. For eight consecutive years, I’ve been recognized by Houzz with awards for Best of Design, Best of Customer Service, and Best in Photography—a real honour that motivates me to keep pushing the boundaries of my work.
But more than any awards or qualifications, what drives me is my love for architecture and design. I’m deeply passionate about photographing beautiful properties and using the interplay of natural light and shadows to let the buildings themselves tell their story. I always aim to create images that are visually striking, high-quality, and, above all, true to the unique character of each space.
Having worked both in the UK and internationally, I love capturing the entire journey of a project—from the initial groundwork through to the final touches. Whether I’m working with architects, developers, designers, or hotel owners, my goal is always the same: to deliver the best possible image that truly reflects the vision and craftsmanship behind each space.
What sets me apart is my unwavering commitment to getting the perfect shot every time. I take pride in making sure that each project I work on is given the attention and care it deserves, ensuring that the final images not only showcase the design but also tell the story of the space. For me, architectural photography is not just a job—it’s a passion that allows me to combine my technical skills with my love of design and creativity.
FAQs
How long does a shoot take? An architectural photoshoot can take anything from a few hours to a day, depending on the size of the property and requirements of the client. The client might want the project photographed at different times of the day. Light varies as the sun travels overhead, and the appearance of the building will vary significantly based on the time of day. Sometimes it’s ideal to shoot at dusk or nighttime to highlight different features.
Prior to the shoot we discuss this and make and create a shot list, to ensure we get the best possible photographs and we make the most of the available light.
Do I help prep and style the location? Where appropriate yes I help style and prep the location, helping the location owner, particularly if it’s residential to ensure the location is looking its best. If its a larger project, I liaise with the site manager prior to the shoot, if possible, to ensure the site is ready for photographs on the day of the shoot.
