Architectural Photography of holiday cottages Wraxall Yard
Dorchester

Nestled deep in the west of Dorset lies Wraxall Yard, a wonderful secluded haven. Comprising of five beautiful self-catering cottages, it had previously been a dilapidated dairy farm. Designed by renowned London-based Clementine Blakemore Architects, it has been transformed. Now these elegant yet subtle spaces provide self catering accommodation for families. It was a wonderful place for architectural photography, as all the buildings have been sensitively restored and they keep the unique feel and quality of the original buildings.

The owners commissioned me to capture the essence and the beauty of the cottages for their website and publicity purposes.

The photo shoot was completed in a day, using mostly natural light and some soft fill lighting to give a natural result, allowing the old structure of the buildings to show and capturing the shadows as they filtered through.

The owners were delighted with the photographs, and really feel that they properly showcase the look and warm feel of the spaces.
