Architectural photoshoot – Dorset

I loved doing this architectural photoshoot. These beautiful spaces are to be found in Wraxall Yard. A wonderful complex of holiday cottages nestled deep in the Dorset countryside. Designed by architects Clementine Blakemore, these cottages were reconfigured from old farm buildings and really utilise the height of the old buildings. I love the interplay of light and shadows throughout. Here we have images from three different cottages, showcasing the different finishes inside.

They offer disabled accessible self-catered holiday accommodation, a community space, workshop and educational courses. Sitting at the heart of an organic family farm in rural west Dorset, guests can appreciate the surroundings and the wonderful interiors. Photographing this project was really interesting, as I got to see how the light played through the buildings as the day progressed. The old beams are a striking feature in the large living spaces and the exposed brickwork adds character .
