This striking contemporary house was designed by architects, Studio Mua Architects. The brief they got from the client was for a home that would reflect their lifestyle and combine the modern with traditional.

I was commissioned to photograph it for a magazine feature and for the architects.

The day of the shoot dawned with heavy rain pouring down. It was extremely challenging as it stayed raining for the rest of the day. But although it was a dull, grey day, I managed to get a feel of light and brightness within the house, the huge glass doors allowing maximum light to enter. I complemented the natural light with flash. For the exterior photographs I had to shelter under an umbrella! There are many wonderful features in the house, from the large double height living area with the huge doors to the full height glass windows running the height of the building.
